Tune-in tonight to American Idol at 8pm ET on FOX, available through Comcast Cable!

The top three contestants on “American Idol” all performed three songs last night in hopes of receiving enough votes to go to the finale. All three contestants had their songs chosen by the judges, Jimmy Iovine and the “American Idol” producers. While all three of the girls performed great last night, there are clearly two performers that should be moving on to the finale next week.

Kree Harrison American Idol top 3 performance PCandice Glover has been the favorite to win the show for the past few weeks, and she did not lose her favorite status after last night. All of the judges agreed that Candice’s performance of “Somewhere” from “West Side Story” was the best of the night. She also delivered a great performance when she sang “One” by U2 despite never hearing the classic song before.

Angie Miller finally showed why she was the early favorite to win the show last night. She had been coasting the last few weeks, but she finally put it all together last night. Miller sang “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” by Elton John, “Try” by Pink and Emeli Sande’s “Maybe” last night to great reviews. While none of her performances were able to top Candice’s best performance, Angie was able to receive amazing praise for all three of her songs.

While Kree Harrison had a solid night, it appears that her time on the show is about to be over. Kree got great reviews for her performance of “Here Comes Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts, but did not receive the same love from the judges on her other two performances. All of the judges complained that Kree was not connecting with the songs during her performances of “Better Dig Two” by The Band Perry and Pink’s “Perfect,” which is extremely odd criticism since she was not allowed to pick any of her songs.

You can watch the voting results live on “American Idol” tonight on FOX at 8 PM. Based on the performances and the judges feedback, it appears that it will be Candice and Angie battling it out in the finale. We have learned that anything can happen during the voting process throughout the years on the show, so there is a very good chance that we will see a shocking elimination tonight.
